I am Ronit Shmaya, painter, born in 1961, Eilat, South of Israel, Near the Red Sea.

I paint oil on canvas in a figurative style and sometimes I add an abstract element to the painting.

Last Paintings

I was born in Eilat.

From the age of 20 I lived in the center of Israel and for a short period in the United States.

In November 2020, I returned to Eilat in order to be close to the sea.

I take pictures and draw my immediate surroundings.

My paintings express the beautiful and natural that I see around me.

Most of my occupations over the years are related to art.

My main profession is designing, building and promoting websites and I love my work.

As a child I studied painting with the painter Ephraim Zuckerman, piano with Adina Hamburger and flute with Mel Keller.

When I lived in Rehovot, I studied with the painter Meir Natif and then with the painter Yaniv Dror Fogel.

When I returned to Eilat, I took several drawing lessons with the painter Mark Boganim.

In recent years I am learning about the connections between the body, the mind and everything that surrounds us.

In all the fields I touch the study is endless.

Painting allows me to connect with nature and beauty and the love that surrounds us from all directions.
